I have a course that will not allow the Instructor or me (instructional designer with Course Builder rights) to unhide a course menu (left sidebar) item. This instructor has four sections of this course, and it works fine in 3 of the 4 Bb sections. Students cannot access this link when hidden, so I had to recreate the exam in a section they can link to, such as the "Information" link. Any idea how to fix this?

Sean,

I came across this same problem when a item on the course menu displayed the hidden icon (but the action link did give the option to show the link).  The problem was that there was a date/time restriction associated with the link on the course menu:

1.    Click the link on the course menu (i.e. Exams)
2.    On the content portion of the page, use the action link to the right of the name (Exams) and select Edit
3.    Look below Options and see if there are any date and time restrictions. Clear them (or expand the date) and click Submit
