Hi everyone,

I am a college student using Blackboard and have been experiencing the following issue for quite a while now. Whenever i log in, i get this error message.

I get this message every time i click on a course or even sometimes on different parts of a course (like Assignments or Grades). I also get an error message when I try to upload an assignment from my computer. I have the same issue with IE, FF and Chrome. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java Runtime but that did not change a thing. I've also browsed the web for a fix but did not find anyone with the same issue.

Could anyone help me?

Thanks a lot!

Maxime

I don't think the message is not coming from Java, but from something else.  Do you have security or firewall software installed on your computer?

I do have Panda Global Protection 2009. I tried deactivating it and opening Blackboard again but the same message came up.

Hmm., the next thing to try might be to clear your Java cache.  To do that, look in your Windows Control Panel -> Java.  In the General tab, got to Temporary Internet Files -> Settings, then Delete Files and check Applications and Applets.

I tried that too, without any success again =/

Is there a way to REALLY get rid of Java on my computer (like not just uninstalling it) before reinstalling it? I already tried uninstalling but maybe it wasn't thorough enough and some data stayed on my computer along with the cause for this issue.

Thanks for your help though!
