In Bb 9 Learn. Quizzes were created with a display until date selected. Due to massive snows/closures, instructors need to change the date that the test is available. System won't make the change. New date is entered and submitted, but it won't change.
Is this a Bb 9 thing or a problem with our system?

Tammy,
Are you getting any kind of error message when you try to change the availability dates? I've seen a bug on our Bb Learn test system, where if there is no start date defined, you get this error if you try to modify the end date:
blackboard.servlet.tags.ngui.picker.DateRangePickerTag tag restrict: the end time cannot be earlier than or equal to the start time.
Are you seeing anything like that? If not, is the display date change problem happening in all classes, or only with particular classes, or only if the instructor is using a particular browser?
Mike
Thanks for the reply, Michael! Happening in all classes. No error messages. Scenario: Test set to display 02/02/2010 through 02/04/2010; When the instructor goes in to change the end date to 02/10/2010 to extend the exam availability, the system accepts typing in the new date, you hit submit, no error message, BUT date doesn't change from the original.
Actually, we are getting that error message part of the time. Is there a fix for this?
There is a SQL script that will fix the problem on existing content items, if you have direct access to your system database. You can get that from your Blackboard TSM. (It's bug number AS-130228, I believe)
It's really just a workaround, though, removing the dates that were there--it won't prevent the issue in the future. I have not heard of a permanent fix yet.
