If I use the pencil and hide my course from the course list, does it remove me from being member of the class. My previous semester classes are still on and when I log on it shows me logged in those classes as well. I want to be able to remove them completely. How do I do that?

Hi Pam,

it's not possible to remove (unenroll) yourself from a course and therefor you can only hide the course from the My courses list using the pencil as you described.
The reason for this is that, when you unenroll yourself from a course all your assignments, tests, results (grades) etc. will be removed from that course as well. Depending on your institutions (or national) policy of archiving students results and material this can be something unwanted.
The only thing I can think of is sending the instructor of that course a mail with the request to remove you from that course.

Hope this helps.
